HOPE Worldwide Southlake Chapter participates in activities such: food drives, visiting elderly providing disaster relief for those affected by natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes and participating in Fund raising events to serve the residents of Lake County and beyond.  We strive to enable individuals and families to endure hardship with dignity and compassion.

Haiti was hit by a 7.2-magnitude earthquake on Saturday, Aug 14. Over 1,400 people were killed and several thousand injured. At least 30,000 homes have been destroyed or badly damaged. HOPEww has been in constant communication with our partners in Haiti and has been working to provide support during this time of devastation.

We received the following update from HOPEww Haiti on two of their local church partners:
Les Irois Church of Christ & Les Cayes Church of Christ members were all unharmed but several have lost family members in their community.
The Les Irois Church of Christ building was directly affected by the earthquake.
Of the 51 members in the Les Cayes Church of Christ, 40 of them have immediate shelter, food and water needs.
HOPEww is sending immediate food and water aid and is working with HOPEww Haiti on assessing the needs and developing a long-term recovery plan which will include economic empowerment and capacity building that will lessen the impacts of future disasters. Thank you to all who have been praying for Haiti and supported HOPEww with donations. If you would like to help support our disaster response efforts, click below to donate.

Matthew  25:35-40

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Making a difference

Your contributions help fund our mission of making disciples, teaching them and maturing them into a loving community, and equipping them for service in the name of Jesus Christ. We do this by having a place to gather for worship, staff to serve our members and guests, and programs and events to draw people into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Community Outreach Committee

The COC was created to help provide organization, input, direction and facilitate church activities that focus on building family, meeting the needs of those within the church and those within our local community as well as to support in the planning and facilitation of community outreach.

Keep Serving: A Spoken Word

After almost a year since the reminder to “Be Still,” we are pleased to share another original spoken word by Lindsey Dominguez. We hope it is an encouragement to keep serving, from backyard to food pantry, and inspire greater HOPE.
Imagine yourself walking down the street and someone stops and asks you, “Do you have any spare change?” For some this is a simple question; for others it produces strong, conflicting answers. HOPE worldwide is excited to present our first ever online US training for all volunteers, supporters and friends titled “Lazarus the Beggar My Neighbor: What To Do When Someone Asks You for Money on the Street.” The goal of this webinar is to further learn how to respectfully and responsibly love our neighbors.
